Aleasa & Neal
Aleasa and Neal were one of many, many couples who had to drastically alter their wedding plans due to covid during the summer of 2020. Fortunately, they found a plan that worked for them, however, the new wedding was out of town and family-only, so I couldn’t attend. Instead, we spent what would have been their wedding day running around DC in a limo taking all the special, classic wedding photos they would have missed out on otherwise, complete with champagne, mini wedding cake, and a beautiful bouquet!
We started at their hotel suite for preparation and detail photos, a fun first-look between the bride and groom, and a stunning view of the Washington Monument and downtown DC.
Then we were off to Meridian Hill Park, where they set up an adorable table for their champagne toast and cake cutting! Aleasa glanced my way as I was photographing from several steps down, and I discreetly gestured for her to have a little fun with the cake - all over Neal’s face! They both burst out laughing, and needless to say those are now some of my favorite photos of a cake cutting.
We headed downtown to the National Mall to their favorite monuments - making a stop at the secluded DC War Memorial before making our way to the majestic Martin Luther King, Jr, which overlooks the Tidal Basin and surrounding greenery, the Jefferson Memorial rising in the distance over the water. Our last stop was the Reflecting Pool, with crystal clear views of the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. There was a gentle breeze and I just had a blast photographing Aleasa with her shawl.
This gallery is just a tiny fraction of the photos I delivered to these beautiful people; Aleasa and Neal are so perfect together that even after I finished with a set of directed poses, they still looked *amazing* and in completely in love, and I had to click away, ending up with dozens more photos than planned!
