Romantic Castle Proposal
Surprise proposals must be meticulously planned. If you’re interested in hiring a photographer for your surprise proposal, you will need to work with an expert for everything to run smoothly and ensure you remember your special, once-in-a-lifetime moment with happiness. There’s no recreating a proposal photo; every image you’ll receive will be pure, candid, unposed joy and emotion. A few weeks ago, Yoni called me, overflowing with excitement to propose to his girlfriend Elle. He had everything planned; he’d tell her they were attending a friend’s small wedding downtown as an excuse for her to get dressed up. Since coronavirus so drastically changed our lives nearly one year ago to the week, they had been staying safe and distant from friends and family in an effort to make a contribution to the return to normalcy. For them, this meant foregoing date night dinners out, so he needed an important reason for her dress up for portraits, without spilling the beans. A few days prior, a virtual work function came up that she needed to attend. Yoni kept his cool and we rearranged the time and place.
Yoni proposed to Elle on a golden, early spring evening outside the Smithsonian Castle in Washington, DC. Her face lit up as he kneeled before her, and after proposing, the first thing Yoni said with a brilliant smile was, “now I get to call you my fiancée”. I photographed from the street as he recounted his planning, and it was a joy to watch them laughing together and celebrating their engagement.
It was an honor to help capture their first moments as husband and wife to be.
Congratulations, Elle and Yoni!
